The Ethiopia Country Profile Update provides comprehensive information on the most recent trends and data on female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) in Ethiopia. It includes an analysis of the current political situation, legal frameworks and programmes to make recommendations on how to move toward eradicating the practice.
The theme of the event is- addressing social desirability and social identity in FGM/C programming in Ethiopia. The session will be a moderated panel discussion followed by a Q&A session. The panel will consist of:
